First Music Contact, in association with The Arts Council Touring and Dissemination Fund and proudly supported by HMV, is delighted to announce three of Ireland’s most exciting bands: Fight Like Apes, Kid Karate and Sleep Thieves will be playing live at Set Theatre, Kilkenny on Friday 14 November.

The annual FMC tour gives audiences across the country the opportunity to enjoy and celebrate the wealth of exciting homegrown talent produced in Ireland. Previous acts to have played the tour include: And So I Watch You From Afar, Jape, Heathers, Adebisi Shank, Daithi, We Cut Corners and Le Galaxie.

With their latest EP serving up a “head-spinning slice of twentysomething life”, Fight Like Apes join the FMC Tour to deliver an energetic and bracing live show. Accompanying them will be Kid Karate with their raucous rock ’n’ roll and the hauntingly beautiful Sleep Thieves who specialise in ethereal disco for the night.

Opening acts

Each night of the tour will feature a different local opening act selected using FMC’s music discovery website www.breakingtunes.com, which more than 9,000 Irish acts have profiles on.
