Trust us when we tell you that Kingston are a band to watch. At a young age and with a fine stack of local and festival gigs behind them, these guys are setting the bar for other local bands to reach. There’s energy, there’s cohesion, there’s a bunch of guys on stage having the craic, and there’s some bloody good songs in the mix too – whether it’s the find tuning of originals taken from their EP released earlier this year, or their note-for-note cover of T.Rex’s 20th Century Boy.

Not knowing what way life, school or college might bring them, catching them on Sunday at Set Theatre as part of this year’s Rockfall lineup was a real treat.

The same was echoed by Jeremy Hickey (RSAG) who has since mentioned after the gig that the Rockfall night in set was his favourite of all hometime gigs to date.

Great buzz, great music, and a great way to round off the October Bank Holiday weekend.

While we didn’t capture any video on the night, check out the photos below and apologies to ¡No! whose set we just caught the tail end of.
