Kilkenny’s victorious senior and minor All-Ireland hurling sides along with Kilkenny’s senior and intermediate camogie ladies were honoured with a civic reception at Nowlan Park in Kilkenny earlier this afternoon. With Ardán de Grás and the Ted Carroll stand jammed at Nowlan Park, the atmosphere was electric in welcoming home one of the most important guests of the afternoon, the Liam McCarthy cup.
This also happened when Henry Shefflin was introduced to the stage by Ned Quinn.
Here’s a look at some of the crowd and stage action which got underway at Nowlan Park from 2pm.
The homecoming celebrations continue on Monday evening with Kilkenny senior captain Lester Ryan’s club of Clara hosting the team tomorrow evening (Monday) from 7pm.
